Have you been holding on to memorabilia from your glory days at Nip-Rock High? Couldn’t part with that sentimental old T-shirt or team jacket? Storing that old mascot costume “just in case” you might need it some day? Great! The Red Rock Historical Society is hosting the Decade Rooms at the High School during the hours of registration on August 5, 6 and 7 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. We are looking for:
- school clothing
- team uniforms
- pictures
- trophies/medals
- newspaper articles
- artwork, poetry
- posters, buttons
- flags
- prom dresses
- etc.
to be displayed as a visual history of the people and events that have made our school so great for 50 years! Please limit yourself to “Nip-Rock specific” items.
If you have any items like this that you are willing to share, please email Erin at erinlangevin@yahoo.com or call her at 886-1181. Items will be returned to the owners between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm on Thursday, August 7 at the end of registration. If items are not picked up at this time they will be stored at the Red Rock Public Library for pick up at a later date. If you live in the area we would really appreciate getting the items by the end of June. If you are coming from a distance, we would gladly accept your items when you arrive but please call or email to let us know what you are bringing so we know how much space to set aside for your treasures.
The rooms will all be monitored to prevent theft. Please attach a tag to each item stating your name, the approximate vintage of the item and the name of the person who will be picking your items up at the end of the display.
